Just a reminder of the tea rota system for newcomers. If you cannot make the date that has been allocated, please phone round other members and arrange a swap, and then record it on the list in the clubhouse. Remember that the object of the exercise is to get members together, not to run a catering competition. Some members enjoy putting on a spread fit for royalty and, while that is appreciated, it is not essential. A few purchased cakes and scones, etc. are perfectly acceptable from those for whom catering is a chore. As a guide, you should not be spending more than £15 on food (which, of course, you get back from the income) although it may be necessary to spend a little more at the height of the season, in good weather.
