NORTH-WEST PLAYER WINS AT NOTTINGHAM

Southport's John Haslam won the Nottingham 'B' Advanced Week-end on Sunday when he beat his wife, Barbara, in the final. A good week-end for Barbara though as her handicap has now fallen to 2.5.

Pictured above with the trophy and his supporters club Samantha and Georgia, John had to first overcome Bowdon's Ken Cooper in a tense semi-final. Ken, unfortunately, also lost to Charles Waterfield in the play-off for third place.
