| Don't be worried when you arrive at the
club next week to find an shiny, metal box parked in the club grounds,
it's not from outer space! It's only the secure inner cage for our new shed, to be sited where the old one still stands after it's pulled down shortly. Only when a new concrete base is laid can we start storing our gardening equipment in it. In the meantime, our valuable mowers have to stored somewhere so work was started over the weekend on building the secure unit. Led by Colin Irwin, a group of helpers managed to erect the metal box in a couple of hours and the mowers are now safe from thieves. This will then need to be dismantled and moved to its final position and a wooden frame put round it to replace like for like. Many thanks go to Christine Irwin, Andrew Winn, David Cotton, Paul Widger, Philip Hunter, John Saxby & Ken Cooper for helping Colin with the task. |
