MACROBERTSON SHIELD TEST SERIES: NOVEMBER 18 - DECEMBER 3
 

 The test series was played in Australia and Bowdon C.C. had 2 members playing in the squad: David Maugham & Keith Aiton. Indeed, 2 ex-Bowdon players, Chris Clarke & Jonathon Kirby, were also included among the 6 representing Great Britain in the Test Matches against Australia, New Zealand and USA, held at Rich River and Shepparton Croquet Clubs; Captain Robert Fulford & Mark Avery completed the line-up.

It proved to be an outstanding test series for the GB team, winning all of their matches in commanding fashion; see below for full details of the scores of all of GB's Test Matches.
