GB played Ireland at Colchester over the weekend of 2-3 September 2006.
GB would have liked to have been able to field the Mac side as part of its preparation for November but with both Clarke and Kirby out of the country their places were filled by Marcus Evans and, making his first appearance for GB, Jack Wicks.
David Maugham played with regular partner Mark Avery in the doubles and Keith partnered Jack Wicks, both pairs having good wins. Dave won one of his singles matches while Keith lost both of his.
