PAINTING BY NUMBERS
The numbers, of course, being the crowd who turned out for this mammoth undertaking (23rd March 2002). Colin Irwin took on the tricky job of realigning the cantilevered supports for the balcony, whilst the rest of us sloshed on the paint and wood preserver.
After two hectice days of activity, 90% of the painting had been done but it would not have been completed were it not for the unsung heroes who came in day after day for the rest of the week to finish off.
