WHY NOT TAKE THE REFEREES EXAM?
|
Christine Irwin and Barry Keen are planning to hold a referee's examination
day at the club on either the weekend of 13th/14th March or 20th/21st March,
whichever date has the greatest demand, so why don't you write to Christine
and let her know your preference. There will not be a Laws Course this year
so get your Laws Book out and do some revision - the club needs some more
referees! |

LAWNS REMAIN CLOSED

Club Handbook for 2010
Club Handbook for 2010, correct handicaps.
The Club Handbook will be published in March, and now is the time to get
your handicap right if it has changed since last season's Handbook was printed.
New members who joined in 2009 should take no action.
Your own card is the only true record, the Handbook is just a guide to potential opponents
as to your class of play.
Clang has started the process by listing all the handicaps known
to have changed during the season, and all these changes are now in the
Membership Secretary's record for the next Handbook.
What you can do if you want the right figure in the 2010 Handbook.
( NOTE: It is not compulsory to do anything ! )
You should contact Martin (0161 928 0530) with your correct handicap figure
if any of the following circumstances apply:
1.
If the Clang list has the wrong figure for your latest handicap.
2. If your handicap has changed since last year and is not
listed in the November Clang.

CANASTA AND SCRABBLE AT THE CLUB
To take the place
of croquet over the winter months, why not come down and play Canasta and/or
Scrabble?
Even if you've never played before, there will be people there who can
teach you.
On Tuesdays, Canasta sessions will be held in the afternoon.
Bring your own lunch down to the club at around 12.00pm; play begins at
1pm and goes on until about 4pm.
|
On Thursdays, two sessions of Scrabble will be played.
Game 1 starts at 11am, then a break for lunch at about 12.30pm, before
playing game 2 at around 1pm.
