You can post the form to Steve or leave it in the folder in

Club, which will be regularly emptied.

| MEMBERS'
AREA The committee has requested that the website should be able to publish items of a more secure nature, e.g. Committee Meeting minutes. However, to do this a secure area is needed on the website which is only accessible to club members. To begin with, the committee has agreed that minutes of each monthly committee meeting can be viewed after ratification by the committee at the following meeting a month later. So, January's minutes will be made available on this website after the next meeting on 13th February. Club members who would like access to this new area should request a user name and password by emailing the website at info@bowdoncroquet.co.uk. A user name and password will then be sent in return. If preferred, members can choose their own password (from 5 to 8 alphanumeric characters, uppercase and lowercase) by including it in the email. The user name (which will be in lowercase) will then sent back to the member. This system will only be secure if members' user names and passwords are not divulged to anybody else. Any suggestions for further ideas of what to place in the Members' Area can be requested for committee approval. |

- on a Tuesday afternoon there is Canasta - on a Wednesday, recommencing on 25th January, there is the One-Ball Competition - on every alternate Friday evening there is the Social Get-Together (next one 27th January) |

Welcome to the
Bowdon Croquet Club 2012....
....where croquet
is played on most days of the year.
We are a thriving active club and welcome new members (see New Members section for an application form or just come and visit). The club has room for four
superb full size lawns maintained to a high standard providing first
class playing facilities to all members.
A six-week beginners' coaching course is held every summer from May into June, at a cost of around £35. Bowdon members who joined during the last year can also attend, if they so desire, free of charge. To book, or for more details, please contact Iman on 07511 232 893. Coaching is also available free on a one-to-one basis at all times. The 2012 croquet season runs from March until October when three full size lawns and two short lawns are laid out. Limited play is permitted during the winter months. Bowdon hosts several Croquet Association tournaments each year. In 2012 these are: The May Handicap Weekend The June Advanced Weekend The Northern Week in July The North of England Championship in August The September 'B' level Tournament Spectators are welcome at all these events. The club was founded in 1873 and has been located on the present site since 1911. The club is affiliated to the Croquet Association and the North-West of England Federation. Contact Information
