SWINGING SUNDAYS

Are you a new player who joined this year or last?

If you recently joined us and are wondering how to progress, then SWINGING SUNDAYS are for you.

We play 2 games of short croquet, usually twice a month depending on lawn availability.

The aim is to give you experience of playing proper games, to meet fellow players and to learn the etiquette of croquet in a relaxed setting.

We follow the rules of short croquet and there is a winner each week. We can cater for 2 - 10 players with no standard expected.

There is no need to book - ,just turn up just before 10:15 am. We usually finish just before 1pm.

The next dates are:  27th July, 3rd August, 17th August

If you want to know more, please ring Nan Bowers on (0161) 928 3622

Jo Pierpoint & Diana Jerman, joint winners of the second Swinging Sunday of the season played on Sunday, 6th July, are seen here holding the trophy

Pay on the day. Entries by 8th Aug please .
RELIEF IS NOT FAR AWAY...

If you suffer with shoulder pain, back pain or neck pain, there is a notice on the board in the club house re a course on how to avoid these in croquet.
An Alexander teacher will run the course if we get enough people so, if interested, can you please put your name on the list.
For more information read the notice or see Francois Garcia.

Bowdon is known for the quality of its lawns. To keep the standard high it is essential that EVERYBODY adheres to the Lawn Rota, the intention of which is to even out the usage of the lawns. Details can be found on the notice board by the front door.
